I need help, my car will run fine, sometimes it will stop. try to start and it sounds like it backfires. changed the fuel pump, computor, fuel filter. Check all the sensors. Don't know need help. No codes show either. Help please.

 

how about the crank sensor?

 

I had simular problem with 87 Trofeo It was the MAF sensor. Car ran find untill warmed up then acted like it was flooded no codes poped up. This problem drove me nuts. It is between the air cleaner and throttle body it takes 5 minutes to replace with a standard srew driver

 

correct, a MAF is an easy change..do you recall what it cost you?
