92 bravada wont start "HELP"

In replacing a defective ignition lock, the plastic gitsy that connects the turn signal lever to the rod going to the high/low beam switch on the steering column under the dash fell out. I believe I have all the parts but that plastic piece will not stay in place. I am looking for photos of diagrams that show proper reassembly of this mechanism. All constructive suggestions are welcome.

im working on a friends bravada, its a vortec engine 4.3 litre it has fire but weak, its getting gas to the intake, wont start.. he says it has a spitting and poppingsensation and will bog down before accelerating but after it takes the gas it ran fine, 2 days ago it did this and died and has not started since. i have checked the pick up module in the distributor,cap, wires coil and even tried replacing the ecm and it still wont start . any suggestions??? GM has had issues with their ignition modules and coil/coil packs...i would have these checked when youre missing spark.
