98 Oldsmobile Silhouette...rough idle, stalling
 

Not sure what is wrong... 1998 Oldsmobile Silhouette

The other day it wouldn't start without pressing on the gas. Then a short time later it wouldn't hold an idle for more than a few seconds. Now I have to give it gas to get it started and sometimes it will idle, though its still rough but most the time i have to apply some gas to keep it idling.

We replaced the Mass Air Flow sensor, Spark plugs and MAP as well as vaguly cleaned the EGR valve... cleaning the MAP did make it start being able to give a rough idle on its own once or twice... and almost started on its own too, but once it warmed up it stalled and now wont really hold an idle without stalling again.

Not sure what could be wrong with it at this point...

We ran a scanner, but all it would say is random misfire P0300.

yes ur car has a fuel filter on it it is under the car on the drive side but that is not your problem the problem is your fuel pump is starting to go out.the fuel pump is located inside the gas tank
