Angry Battery drain/seatbelt selenoid

When the ignition is off and the key is out, the seatbelt solenoids stay activated causing them to generate extreme heat and the battery to drain.
1996 Ciera LS
Please, what is the cause?

You need to find out why the solenoids are staying activated.
If they are getting power, you probably have a problem with the ignition switch.
If there is no power to the solenoid, you have a bad solenoid.
