I am stumped. I have replaced the ignition coil, and crank sensor. At times the car runs just fine, then the codes come up, and it back fires, wont stay running, and is horrible. Its the 3.8 engine.

I know the code is "- Ignition Coil K Primary/Secondary Circuit". Now could it be coil K? If so, which coil would that be? Any help on this is greatly appriciated, as I am a decent mechanic, and have my own shop, but at wits end on this one.

Larry

Also code P0321 comes up.

unfortunately, it sounds like it could be a short somewhere, if it comes and goes...

OK, JUST TO ADD MORE CONFUSION MY GMC JIMMY 1997 WITH 3.8 ENGINE DID VERY SIMILAR THING, THE OBD SAID IGNITION COIL A. I REPLACED THE IGNITION COIL (AFTER DRIVING 155 MILES TO THE BEACH TO GET TO IT, WIFE ON VACATION WITH KIDS) IT STILL GAVE PROBLEMS WITH SLOW TO START AND STOPPING RUNNING AT 55 AND LESS MILES PER HOUR. I BENT OVER AND TOOK IT TO A GARAGE BECAUSE I WAS OUT OF MY LEAGUE, THERE THE MECHANIC DID AN OBD AND CAME UP WITH NO CODES. THEN HE NOTICED THE LIGHTS ON THE DASH WERE SLOW TO COME ON. THROUGH HIS EXPERIENCE HE SUGGESTED REPLACING THE IGNITION SWITCH MODUEL IN THE STEERING COLUMN. DONE DEAL JIMMY IS HAPPY AGAIN AND I AM BACK HOME WHERE EVERYTHING IS QUIET. GOOD LUCK.
