Heater vacuum sorce
 

Does the vacuum source for a 1959 super 88 have to come the fuel pump or could it be from one the ports of thr carburetor? Mine is deluxe heater with out air conditioning, thanks,

I can tell you, for sure, that the vacuum from the pump is only a "secondary" source on my '58. the primary source of vacuum for the HVAC and power brakes definitely comes from plumbing off the intake manifold that is "T'd" off and tied in with one side of the vacuum piping coming from the fuel pump. Perhaps 59 is different but I doubt it is too different -- and your 59 had elec wipers, I think, so that is one less user of vacuum than my '58 needs.
