sorry to be rushing i'm new here. i bought a 79 silverado, that i'm told has an olds 350 rocket swapped into it. the intake gasket is shot, and i have no idea which make and model, year, etc to get a gasket for. the moron i bought the truck from said it was a 79 delta 88, but the part numbers don't match. we've cross referenced a few buicks, most of the olds cars from i believe 65-81 and can't find the gasket that fits.

if anyone can help, or tell me what i need to do to ID this friggin thing, please reply asap. it's my daily driver and i'm outta transportation with it down... thanks in advance..

calls for a valley pan gasket, and i've attached pics of the one that's shot... the ones that auto zone and advance, etc have the ports are more rectangular then square. so it leaves a huge gap and doesn't fit.

is the intake on your motor a 2 bbl carb made of alloy may be 260 OLds motor .If 4bbl made of alloy or iron is there a A5 cast in intake if so its a late 307 intake with small ports if aprox 1.3 by 1.3 port size if A4 ports 1.3 by 2.03 these are rough sizes of ports. ther are different manifolds for each of these manifolds and engines. Your engine appears to have no vacuum advance on the distributor which leads me to thinkits a 307 what is the number cast on the heads near exhaust port A5 or A7 the latter is small port heads and intakes being 307 . Hope this helps

This site has many ways to ID your Olds engine easier for you to get info from page to make a more definite determination . My guess is that your truck was originally a diesel (Olds) then car engine 260 I think from color and small ports you can make better determination after using the above site to aid you .
