I am new to the forum, sorry if this topic is in the wrong place. I have a 1969 Olds cutlass 442. It is set up for 1/8th mile drag and also is a 5 year frame off resto project that has been done for about 8yrs now. I am looking to put some more streetable gear in the rear end, but can't seem to find what I need. I have a 12 bolt cover, "o" axle 28 spline olds rear end, it currently has 3:90 gear(gm). I found that the carrier is damaged due to old age. Looking to install the 3:42 gears and will need the carrier...Richmond or gm. Needs to be a posi-trac unit. Please help me with this issue. Im trying to get the car ready for shows this summer. You can replay back at the forum or e-mail me at kyrotorhead1@yahoo.com. Thank-you for any help!

Bbold442:

Check Hemmings for a shop in your area the specializes in rear ends.

You might find something there. I use Chevy Talk a lot and they have a variety of forums that might be able to help you out. The group is very knowledgable.
