I have a 95 olds Achieva with a 2.3 QUAD engine, just a lovely engine to work on, as many of you know. It failed to start yesterday. All the instrument lights come on and it looks like there is plenty of juice. So far, I have replaced the battery, starter with solenoid, spark plugs and ignition coils. I cleaned all the battery terminals and checked the wiring, everything is OK. All the fuses are ok as well. I heard something about the ignition switch, how expensive is this and could this be my problem? Any way to test it? Thanks for any help, I'm really stuck Slobo |
It fails to turn over? Check the wiring down to the solenoid. There should be a fuse link in line. If it blows, no crank. C.J. |
yeah it doesn't even crank, I get nothing. Where exactly is this fuse link? I just saw a bunch of wires, but no relays of any sort.

it was the ignition swtich, thank god I didn't have to remove the steering wheel to get to it.
