Help! our 01 intrigue's power windows are stuck(down) we have checked the swith and it is ok,also the fuses are fine.Any ideas would be soooo apreciated

check the voltage at the window motor. you can use a test light between the 2 conductors. if it is good there then suspect the motor. i know that older motors could have a built in thermal protection. if the motor got stuck on it would kick a thermal circuit breaker and then reset when it cooled off. this kept the motor from getting hot and burning up. if you have a multimeter you can disconnect the motor and set the meter to ohms. it should read maybe .4 to about 6 ohms. if it shows infinite resistance then either the motor is burned out, brushes are not making contact with the armature or the thermal protector is open.
