I have a ''70 Cutlass that I have been restoring (with help) for quite a while. I had the transmission rebuilt with a shift kit. It is in the car and I just put fluid into it.


I run it through the gears a few time but it still will not move. My question is this: Does it make a difference if I have the vacuum modulator hooked up or not? Is this why the car will not go into gear/ moveeven though I''m moving the selector through the gears. (There are no leaks since I''ve put the fluid in)

Hey, question to you....I also have a 70 olds which I have been restoring, can you tell me the exact location that the console or shifter needs to mount in my floorboard....I know this sounds dumb, but this car had no console, so I don''t know....just need measurements to front of console or front of shifter....or whatever...Thanks if you can help...Manuel
