IF I UNDERSTAND IT CORRECTLY THE POWER TRANSMISSION IS LIKE AN OVERDRIVE AND THE TRACTION CONTROL DIRECTS POWER TO THE PULLING WHEEL THAT IS NOT SLIPPING, I RECENTLY SPENT SOME TIME IN ICE AND SNOW AND THE TRACTION CONTROL WAS VERY HELPFUL IN KEEPING THE CAR UNDER CONTROL EVEN AT 50 MILES PER HOUR. SOMEBODY CORRECT ME IF THIS IS NOT CORRECT.

Check your owners manual for the power transmission button.

The Enhanced Traction Control system limits wheel spin in slippery conditions by reducing engine power, shifting to a higher gear, or both. You will see the light come on when the system is active. It will stay on for a few seconds, and then go out until needed again. To turn the system off, press the button. The light will stay on until you reactivate the system by pressing the button again. Most people just leave it on all the time.
