What is this part?
 

Hello All,

It's been some time since I was here, hope everyone is doing well in these strange times.

I have a 1995 Aurora and trying to figure out what this part is. I've searched by the numbers but nothing coming up.

When I turn the key to on it starts thumping, does the same thing when turn engine off.

Trying to diagnose an electrical problem (at times when started there are no electronics (gauges, computer) it will drive but won't shift out of low).

While I have no idea what it is, I suspect my fellow Olds owners over at ClassicOldsmobile.com might be able to help. Suggest you go there and ask.
