Hey Guys, I am in need of some real help. I am in San Diego where they do mog checks and I have to smog my 83 Hurst/Olds. I have a basic vac diagram for the 307 engine, but it doesn''t cover all the vac lines. Does anyone know where exactly the hoses go and the one-way valves??? I need to get this done very soon. Thanks guys Vinny |
I have the same issue with my 83 Hurst. You can simply buy some alcohol that you can put in the tank that cleans everything pretty well. Let me know if this helps, if not I have a mint 307 in my Delta that has correct vacuum, but will take time to chart. If pics will help I can send.

Thank you for the information. I am not really sure what you are trying to tell me what to do. What I have: I am currently replacing all the vacuum lines on my 1983 Hurst Olds. The car had a small engine compartment fire and burned the electrical system and rubber hoses. I was not able to salvage any of the hoses or see where the lead to. I need a full detailed discription of the vacuum line system. Ican not get the vehicle smogged untilI replace these lines. Pictures wouldalso help as well. I have all thevalves and "t" fittings and ready to go. This vacuum systemHAS to be from a 1983 Hurst Old with the 307 c.i. with a VIN CODE 9. The diagram provided by the repair manual is not sufficeint. Thank You |
Sorry, I see how vague that was. The alcohol lets you pass the smog test. I
got it through that way. I got the vacuum lines connected later just fine with the more detailed vacuum diagrams. It''s pretty general, trial and error if necessary. Contact angelovalenti442@yahoo.com for more info, pretty good guy. |
i have the same car and all my lines are hoked up let me take some pics for you and send them to you via email (ali_u5711@hotmail.com)
