need a lot of info on 350 olds
 
Hi I am working on a 77 Cuttlass with 56341 miles on it
was sitting for 3or4 years . Put hot battery she fire right up.
What I need to know if anybody has build a good street motor
out of 350 with windowed main weds .
Mechaic said not to mass with that motor get chevy 350 and drop
it in. Trying to keep her all OLDSMOBILE

It all depends on how crazy you want to get. There are guys running 400 HP 403's with no issues.
If you want to go absolutly nuts you can always get a girdle if you need to keep the original engine.
If originality is not an issue then you could find a 455 and tell him to stuff his SBC.
455's are a lot of fun on the street with little work. You will have so much torque that you won't know what to do with yourself.

You can get an easy 375-400 hp out of your olds 350 with the right parts, but you should put a girdle on the bottom end. Edelbrock heads, Lunati Bracket master cam, Edelbrock performer rpm manifold, 1 3/4 inch headers and a holley 750, among other things will get you around 400hp. You should visit mondellotwister.com for all the information you would ever need. I would never put a chevy motor in my cutlass. if you want to have a lot of fun, power, and versability drop the 455 in and go to town on it.

Yes. Getting to the 400Hp range is relatively easy. The real trick is getting above that without power adder like nitrous or a blower.
