Does anybody have directions for putting in a air filter for the
cabin. I saw somewhere that all Intrigues can put in a cabin
filter the only difference is for the unlucky few (ME).

1)It's a base model car so there is no opening for it (won't be easy to change but possible to do).

2)I can't remember where I saw the post for it. But I think it
said something like the wipers have to come off and the the whole
plastic cowel has to come off too?. Any help would be
great. Going to pick up a filter today.

Update:

Just replaced or in my case put in a new cabin filter. Pretty
easy. Part number BOSH P3720 ($13). Wanted the fram but to
for way much more. Maybe it's a hepa or charcoal filter not sure
($48 little to much I think maybe if I had really bad allerges or
something). If you have access to a shop vac now is the time to
clean out the cowel and when replacing cabin filter.

1) Put the wipers in the up position.

2) Pull the weather stripping about halfway about toward the middle.

3) Slide off the wiper hose (three clips)

4) Remove the two plastic screws (be careful they can be cross threaded
even when removing). And one plastic cap (use a flat head
screwdriver for that).

5) Pull from the center toward the passenger side and up. Use the
shop vac to clean out opening and some wet shop towels or paper towels
to clean out built up dust in the opening.

6) make sure that the (filter) side with the black strips is pointing
down with the tab facing up and toward the front of the car. Will
take several trys to get it in but just bend it a little should then
fit.

7) To reinstall reverse order. Enjoy. =)

You do not need to remove the wiper blades to get to the cabin filter.

Just put them in a verticle position and then remove that piece of plasticunder the wiper blade and you will see a hole where the cabin filter should be. My car did not have a cabin filter installed from the factory so I put one in on my own.

Thanks. But I didn't say to remove it. check the first
step. I just said to put the wipers in the up (verticle) position.
