Caliper Bolts/Pins

I have a question about the caliper bolts/pins on the rear brakes of a 1999 Intrigue. I noticed that only one of the caliper bolts/pins has a small sleeve at the end of it and the other doesn't. What is the purpose of this and does it matter if that bolt is installed in the top or bottom hole? I am just wondering of one pin, perhaps the one with the sleeve on it, is longer than the other and needs to be in a specific hole so that it doesn't bottom out when the brake pads start to wear. Thanks in advance for any replies.

I have noticed that on a few cars. Some have been in the top and others in the bottom. I don't think it matters but don't take my word on it. You can pull the caliper off the other side and see which hole that pin goes in.

My Impala is the same way, it doesn't matter which hole that pin is in. In fact, the newer Impalas have the sleeved bolts in both holes.
