I have a 2000 Intrigue GLS. Going to and from work I driveover a canyon and when going on the downside the temperature guagedrops to around the quarter mark. I know for the most part I am coasting but I have never seen another vehicle do this. When it is cold like thistime ofyear it will even go below the quarter mark. By the time I get to my destination it has risen back to normal. I had a faulty thermostat replaced and I thought that would take care of the problem but it didn''t. My mass air flow sensor may be faulty so could that bethe problem. Has anyone else had this issue or is this normal. Any feedback would be appreciated.

IF IT AINT BROKE DONT FIX IT. DRIVE IT.

This usually is an indication of a faulty thermostat, but you say that was replaced. Do you lose any heat in the cabin when the gauge temp drops? I have also seen air in the cooling system affect temp gauge swings - but rare.
As "ilikecars" above says, if it''s not causing anything but heartburn, just keep an eye on it.
