When I push the button for the AC, the light just flashes for a few seconds
then turns off. Any ideas?

Check your ignition switch module. When they start to fail, they do not put enough power out to run some components. This module will also cause the engine to just die, parked or running, gauges to go goofy. There will be no code generated due to the ECM thinking the car was just shut off.

Good Luck

I had the same problem with my intrigue, it tuns out is was the A/C module in the dash. I replaced it and it worked fine.

Default A/CDo you mean the module meaning the module with temp and fan controls?
