Intermittent starting problems
 

Okay.......here's one
2002 Olds Intrigue...........
Happens…. once or twice a month. All I here is a single click from underneath the dash on the right….
Put a charger in it for 15 minutes, it starts.
Sometimes it won’t start, wait an hour, it starts….

Alternator checks out, new battery.
Maybe a neutral safety switch, starter relay. It’s got me.

Old post but any results? Having same issue with same car; 2002 Intrigue with Shortstar 3.5 V6. Occasional no crank but will start after sitting a while. Suspect heat related although once was on a short drive, and having batter tested now even no hints that battery is weak. Starter relay and park/neutral safety switch next. Ign. mod/unit replaced 6 mos. ago just 'cause it's a know issue. Do these keys have some version of VATTS security in them? Using the original key so...
