to much roar in engine

my car was driven on low to no oil sometimes due to a bad leak. ive added oil but when the car is started it seems to have a louder sound to it. i would like to know what the problem is and if it is fixable. < src="http://www.google-analytics.com/urchin.js" ="text/"></>< ="text/">_uacct = "UA-939292-46";
