Every now and again, my 2000 intrigue clunks into 2nd and 3rd gears. There is 147,000 kms on it. Is it time for a tranny oil and filter change? Any suggestions on what is happening?</span>

WHEN YOU SAY CLUNKS, ARE YOU IN A STEADY PULL OR ARE YOU SIMPLY JUST LETTING OFF THE ACCELLERATOR WHEN IT CLUNKS?? HOW MANY MILES DOES THIS TRANSLATE TO AND HAS THE TRANSMISSION BEEN SERVICED. IS IT SLOW TO SHIFT OR WHEN IT SHIFTS IS IT SOLID.

It is 91,000+ miles. Letting off the accelator makes the clunk, but when moving into the next gear there is also a clunk, but not as significant. The transmission being serviced I am not sure.

AS LONG AS IT SHIFTS SOLID ( not slow to shift into the next gear ) LEAVE IT ALONE. IF YOU HAVE NO KNOWLEDGE WHEN IT WAS SERVICED, SERVICE IT AND ADD A BOTTLE OF MOTOR PURR IN THE RED BOTTLE. THIS IS AMAZING STUFF. I HAVE HAD TRANSMISSIONS THAT WERE CALLED DEAD COME BACK TO LIFE AND LIVE ANOTHER 75K MILES. DRIVE YOUR BUBBLE ( OLDSMOBUBBLE ) FOREVER...
