left turn signal quit working alltogether last week, clicks rapidly but doesn't light on dash. Replaced bulbs and turn/hazard flasher. Still not working? Also, the left cornering light hasn't worked since I got it.

I have had this problem for over 1 year. I replace the bulb, and within one week or less the bulb is burned out, and actually looks melted at the base of the bulb. I was told by my mechanic that there is a short somewhere, and I would need to replace the socket and wiring. Haven't tried that yet, but have heard of many complaints...

Replace the socket at the base of the bulbs, both of mine have had to be replaced, same symptoms. If the bulb is "melted" it will be disfigured as well.

After replacing the sockets all to problems go away. Cost $50 CDN per socket. Literally 10 minute job to replace can be done in the same timeframe it takes to replace the bulb.

When you see the socket and how ridiculously simple it looks you will flip at the price they want to charge. Unfortunately I don't have the AC DelcoPart Number handy

There is a much easier AND CHEAPER way to do this. You need to remove the stock ground wire and replace it with a one gauge thicker wire. There are photos (if you search 1998 Oldsmobile turn signal) that show you step by step. No problems since install, and cost me nothing!!!
