Hello, My name is Farrell Smith and I have just recently purchased a 1966 442 convertible Tri power 4/spd.. I am not familiar with 442's decoding of the trim tag and would like to know how I can tell if 1st if it is a true 442 and 2nd what options it came out with. I understand some tri powers were factory installs and some dealer installs. If it is a factory install Tri power will the trim code indicate that. I have mainly had SS Chevelle's and the 66-68 138 cars were always SS models Here is my Trim Tag- (top line) 06A 5 (2nd line) ST 66-33867 LAN 8964 (3rd line) TR 983-3 C-2 (4th line) WS 2LT (5th line) 4 FC 5VY. Hopefully someone can verify that this is a true 66 442 4spd. and with what options. The car looks very clean and has only 65000 miles?
