my son in law has a 72 cutless supreme w/a 350 was told it was originally a California car. He asked for help, now i’m doing the same. Previous owner or owners have removed or plugged off most if not all vacuum lines and smog controls. It looks like a plumbers nightmare. Need to know proper locations and connections for vacuum advance,a/t, carb etc. Thinking of routing the lines w/o any emission controls to get a base line to get it running. Also need basic timing and idle settings to start. Timing is set @ 4BTDC initially @800 in park but it sounds retarded, runs rough. When timing is advanced runs a little better at idle but engine temp get hot after running 10-15 minutes. When you rev the engine up to about 2500rpm,and let off the throttle it pops thru the exhaust like fireworks. Any help would be appreciated.
