Broken Ignition Cylinder
 

I can't seem to locate a thread on this, so I'm starting this one. I have a 1969 442 that I recently purchased. There was no key, but the ignition was in the position to be able to start it & run. I got a new lockset, but once I removed the old one, the gear won't move to the Lock position. If I put the new one in I will not be able to remove the key because it will not move to that position. I thought there may be a reverse lock-out function, but it won't move if the shifter is in neutral, reverse or any other gear.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
