i forgot to mention that the car has a 455cui dual exhaust bucket seats console burgandy exterior gold interior

If you are looking to find out if the engine is original to the car you will need to look at the engine to find out.
First look at the drivers side cylinder head just in front of the #1 spark plug. There will be a large cast letter. It should be an E. If not the heads could have been swapped at some point, but it's not looking good.
Next look for a machined pad on the block just below where you just found that cast letter. There will be some numbers and a letter stampped into the block there. The sequence will read something like 30M356428.
3 = Oldsmobile
0 = the year of production. 0 on a 455 can only mean 1970.
M = Lansing, MI (the plant of manufacture.) There were 8 different plants.
356428 is the production sequence and this should match the last 6 of the VIN on the car. If it doesn't then you have a different engine.
