Cool! 71 Cutlass convertible here. Not a lot of us "Olds school" types here.

Hey guys

I have a 68 cutlass S with a rocket 350. No special options on it but is all original and real clean. I also have a 68 camaro convertible, but this is my favorite of the two!

Thanks, I've had the camaro for years. I just bought the olds a few months ago. It's almost exactly like the one I had when I was 19. The price was too good to pass up.

oh really. im 19 right now. this is the first car that i have paid for with my own money. like yours mine is all original minus the engine. i wanted to beef it up a little so i put the 455 in it. not much else i can or want to do to it. except for maybe the a/c. but i know that will be a little pricey... do you just like 68' model cars? or is it that you happen to come across those two cars of the same years.

Hey,

Thanks for asking. No, I just happen to buy a 68 camaro because I like the body style. It's rs package is different from the 69. As for the cutlass, this is my favorite year with 69 being my second favorite.

What did your car come with originally come with a rocket 350?

yea it had the rocket 350 in it. i bought a cam for it and a high rise. wanted to beef that up also. when it got put in the man that did the work for me forgot to get the lifters, pushrods, and rocker arms. so he found me a 455. i did the work myself on that. after the first time an engine getting messed up i decided to do my own work, the 350 wasnt a bad engine. it ran great and had some power.

Yeah, those 455s are awesome. The olds has a 350 but the Camaro has a 454 in it. Not stock for that year, but the camaro is not a stock car, it'smore of astreet rod.
