I just bought a 1987 Cutlass Cruiser wagon, with the 2.8L V6 engine. It
was 1 owner (before I got it) with 91,000 miles on it. It's in practically showroom condition - just a couple of scratches on the paint. Believe it or not, it really WAS owned by a little old lady who just drove it back and forth to church on Sundays, and judging from the debris in the 3rd seat, carried the Christmas tree from the lot once a year. All maintenance had been done by a dealer, and is current. For those of you who care, it's a light burgundy color with a deep burgundy interior. It has a leather dash - I don't know if this was standard or an option. It came with the original owners manuals, which are in perfect condition. This is my first "American" car since 1979 (a Buick, which was a second car) and the first automatic transmission I've driven on a regular basis since 1974. I have to go out and buy all new SAE tools now since all I own are metric. If you have tips or suggestions, I'd love to hear them. My current problem is locating the alarm that tells you when your keys are in the ignition or you left your lights on - I hear the relay clicking, but don't hear the alarm. The relay is faint, and I can't locate it in the cabin!!!! Nice to meet you all, and I hope you can educate me more about my "new" car! Frank |
