Red face hi new from central ny

im goin to start by saying that i am a beginner all around. i just bought a 72 cutlass in hopes to learn a few things about about car restoration. my first lesson so far: quarter panels! they are rusted and have had a bondo cob job done on them. i dont have a whole lot of money and a local body shop told me $1500 approx to repair one panel i need two done lol plus the inner wheel wells im already starting to see more in reapirs than i paid for the car... the up side is the car runs good. does any one have any suggestions on how i can avoid paying $3000 to repair my panels

Learn how to weld. Other than that you're going to pay a lot for labor.
