Hey everyone I need some serious help. I have a 1983 Cutlass and my transmission is starting to slip. It has a 3.8L V6 and I want to Swap it out to a V8, a friend of mine has a police motor out of a 91 or 94 caprice, and he is willing to sell me the motor and tranny for around 750..sounds like a sweet deal to me cause it only has 40,000 miles on it. The thing is, it is fuel injected and of course my car has a carb..will a fuel injected motor work in my car, and what all would I have to do to get it working properly, and what about cooling? If anyone has any advice please reply. Thanks
