im having a stalling problem while in drive at a stop.there is a new iac in the car and i removed it the other day to check the adjustment and noticed there was no gasket! The car is a 1987 olds delta 88 and it doesnt have an o ring. Is it possible for the iac to work properly with no gasket?

 

just an update..i had severe stalling and sputtering problems with my 87 olds delta 88 and today i changed the ignition coils and adjusted the iac..the gasket not being there was the problem..anyone having the same problem should check there iac before anything else because its a fine setting that needs to be right on..all in all the car is running perfect..hope this helps anyone else with the same problem..thanks to all who helped me with this in earlier posts..great site!!!
