Now I just acquired a 37,000 mile '78 that is smooth, and runs great. one question--I read where the '77/'78 have a cpmuterized timing advance in the HEI. I was going to up grade the HEI, and maybe bypass this. Use a new coil, ignition module, etc. i looked under the hood, and it still has the original HEI cap, because |i can seee the blue paint at the base of the distributor on the HEI cap's clips. If I want to add a different HEI (maybe one with vacuum advance direct from the carb), can I add another Olds distributor? What if I just want to use this one? |
