Default New member introduction

Hello folks. Darrell here. We bought our 2001 Silhouette, gls I think, last year. We needed a van to carry our bikes in. It has been a really good vehicle, considering what we paid for it, 3500.00 and had 122500 miles on it. It has 152K on it now. Not a lot of problems. Amazingly tight engine and good transmission. I posted a request for feedback about the need to replace it soon. thanks. Darrell.

Welcome! It is amazing how many miles a drivetrain will go these days, isn't it?

As long as the body is not rusting out and the hardware not falling off, I would just keep on driving it!

Hi olds D88. thanks for the reply. We are sorta' on the fence about what to do. If we keep it and something major goes wrong, it will be worth almost nothing. I guess we will continue to look for something with much lower mileage and of course about 4 times what we paid for this car. We are leaning toward a Nissan Quest, since they are reliable but not with the high price and mileage of a Toyota. Thanks from Darrell
