New to OldsmobileForum-- Looking to sell my '76 Olds

Hi, I'm new to OldsmobileForum, and interested in selling a car that I've loved for years, my classic 1976 Oldsmobile Cutlass T-Top.

It's in great condition, all-original, and has under 10,500 miles. Where would be a good place be to sell this car? There are lots of places online to sell newer cars, but I'm not sure what to do with my Olds. I feel like it'd be an injustice to just put it in the yard with a "For Sale" sign-- not to mention that it's never spent the night outside of the garage!

Thanks for your help!

OK I'm jealous. I had a 76 Salon (still have the fender and trunk emblems) and it NEVER looked that good. I have never seen that interior styling either.

There are a few forums you can try:

Classicoldsmobile.com
Oldspower.com
Realoldspower.com (can be difficult to get registered though)

Then there is always Ebay and Craigslist.

You could even look for big time auctions, but keep in mind that the mid 70's A bodies just don't have the value as the earlier ones. They are kinds of the red-headed step children of the GM world. It's all about the emission controls that were placed on them I believe.

Man, that car is so sweet looking. I def. can't afford anything like that but it looks very nice and I'm sure that someone somewhere would definitely purchase it. You've taken very good care of it, good luck on finding a place to sell!

Thanks! I guess I'll try eBay, but I've never used it before-- that worries me. I'm not really sure how to assess the value, either... I was hoping for $12,500, but would probably be happy with $10,000. Does this seem reasonable?

Also, I was going to get the engine cleaned (it's all there and working great, just filthy-looking) but a friend advised against it, saying some collectors like the all-original qualities of an antiquated engine. What do you think?
