Olds 350
Hi everyone,
I'm new to the site, and have a few questions. I just picked up a Olds 350, and I'm just wondering if it's the more sought after one? Here is the number off the block, 395558 2, and what I believe to be the vin, it was found on the heads on a flat spot just below valve cover i think, it's 36m170886. Also here are a few others on the intake manifold it's, 411990 with close by it D1BS. And another number on the heads 411929. there was another number i can't remember where on the right side possibly on the block it was 197 and on the left side it was 201...i can be more specific if i need to be i'd just have to go to my friends place to get whereabouts exactly the numbers were....anyways hope someone can help me |
let me clear that up...any and all information you can give me on this engine would be of great help..i'm wanting to learn how to rebuild engines a new hobby...i've always been fascinated by engines and cars...anyways....one more question...does anyone know if it would be hard to swap out my 267sb v8 out of my 82 malibu classic 4 dr sedan for the 350 rocket with transmission?

The VIN derivative tells you that is came out of a 76 and the vehicle was assembled in Lansing MI.
