'87 98 2Dr 30k miles should I buy?
 

I'm pretty handy when it came to the Toyota I just totaled. I wasn't raised with greasy hands but I found plenty of support on online forums to help me get through.

I'm looking at an 87 98. It's gorgeous and has 30k miles and 2 owners all in the same family. Seems to have been maintained.

If would be buying this for a 60 mi RT commute everyday.

My questions:

how much maintenance (costs and headache) would you expect from a car like this?

If someone is generally familiar in layman's terms with mechanics (2000s toyotas) how much of a learning curve (read:car sitting dead for a day/week) would there be? I've been reading through the forums and while there are obviously responsive and helpful folk around here, the amount of existing maintenance/troublewhooting material and such is pretty slim)
