Oldsmobile alero "stingray"?

Hello I just bought a 2003 Olds alero gl1 but its got embossed seats and badges that say "Stingray". Now Ive never heard of an Olds alero "Stingray" nor have I heard of an Olds "Stingray" of any kind. So the question is.... what is this? :confused:

Use the SPID code decoder (second sticky in the General Tech Help section) to find out what came with your car from the factory. Anything else is either added by a dealer or previous owner.
I'm guessing a previous owner stuck the badges on, and had the stitching done. I have never heard of a "Stingray" either except for the Corvette.
