I have a 1999 sillhouette and the auto sliding door has stopped working ! I am not sure whats going on could it be the switch ? or maybe the motor died ? I am not sure what happened. Can someone help me to figure it out ? Oh BTW the remote sliding door button will not work nor will the button on the side of the passenger column. How do i check things to make sure its the Motor or the electonics ( ie. buttons or fuses ? Thanks for reading and takingthe time to try to help .

 

On my 1995 Silhouette if the battery had gone down it would disable the automatic feature of the door. To reactivate it you
1. Make sure the door is fully closed
2. Make sure the ignition is off
3. Remove the fuse marked "Tail" from the fuse panel.
4. Wait 30 seconds
5. Reinstall the fuse
6. Cycle the door through opening and closing using the button on the overhead console
7. Wait 3 seconds
8. Cycle the door again

It worked everytime
