New Member with 99 Olds Silhoutte - Need help

Hello,

I have a 1999 Oldsmobile Silhoutte with 218,000 that until recently has been awesome. I does the transmission hard shift every now and then, but that is not an issue. We recently replaced the MAF sensor which resolved almost all of the tranny hard shifting, but a couple of days ago it was hard to start. I had to tap on the accelerator to get it to stay running. Then I was messing with it yesterday, I tried reving it up and when it hit 3500 RPMs it started acting like it was bouncing off the rev limiter.

Its not showing a CEL so I am at a complete loss as to what it may be.

Does anyone have any ideas on where to start? Once started it runs fine until it hits 3500 rpms, which isnt often so it may have been doing this for a while and we didnt know.

I appreciate everyones help!

3500rpm is the rev limiter for my 2002 olds so thats most likely why its acting like its hitting the rev limit.
