I have a 1998 Silhouette with front end body damage (hit a deer). I found a 1999 Silhouette with decent body. At first I was thinking of putting my engine in to that car (hire somebody to do that). The problem is that the engine in the 1999 is already out, so there is no way to know how that car will work If my engine is put in it.

So, now I'm thinking about swapping panels from the 1999 to my car. How much trouble is that? I would attempt that myself. I have very little experience with auto body work. Where can I find info to remove/replace all of the panels, including the roof?

I want to replace all of the panels since the two cars have difference colors - beige v blue. I want to keep the cost to a minimum so I'd rather not have to paint.
