hey everybody, just wondering if anybody knows where I can find a front clip for my 1977 442. Every lead I've had so far has led me to the wrong one(cutlass supreme). The one I need I believe, is only found on 1976-1977 cutlass S and 442, with slope in front end. I anyone can help I would sure appreciate it.

allpro, sounds familiar....were you overseas for awhile?....
I see you were trying to get the header from 442Much..no luck. I could have sworn that I saw a pic of one on the 73-77 Olds forum.
I talked to Jeff at Cascade Auto wrecking. He located 9 of them in yards nationwide. Prices vary. Found one in great condition in California complete. They are asking $650.00 with $100.00 for shipping. Another only stated they had one with no details that was somewhat cheaper. Said he would send a message to them to see what condition it was in. Several had them but were not complete or had cracks or chips in them. Said most are from 76 442's. He said to call him at 425 481-1922 if you are interested and he will make what ever arrangements you want. Said he will also try to get the best info on each.

Yes Yogi, I'm the same guy. I'll probably be going back overseas next summer the way it looks.

Thanks for the info. I never thought that finding parts (affordable at least) would be this difficult. I finally got my car here to texas this spring. It needs a lot of work!

Where in Texas? I'm in San Antonio and am hooked into the Oldsmobile clubs around the state. Maybe I can help you find one close.

I've been trying several different leads but have come up empty. The one solid one is the one for $650 but didn't know they would be shipping to Texas so that would be higher
