Exclamation 1999 Alero Repairs

I hit a deer recently in my 1999 Oldsmobile Alero. I have major damage to the hood, my left headlight is pretty much destroyed. And I also have major damage to the bumper.
I took it to the shop in town to get an estimate and I thought it was a bit expensive. I am a high school student and don't really care how nice it looks. I just want to make it road worthy. If anyone has any advice on anything, it would be greatly appreciated.

Damn, thats some damage. Looks from the picture you will need, left fender, hood, bumper, left headlight, header panel( holds the headlights), bumper support. If you wanted to go for cheap you could just get the headlight, header panel, and hood. Depending on how well the bumper is holding on you may not need the bumper support or the bumper but if its about to fall off then you need those too.

I will tell you though from the looks of the picture your insurance company will probably want to total it out. Its probably gonna cost more to fix it then the car is worth.

Let us know what kind of quote they give you and what the insurance company says.

nice. I also Have an alero. How do you connect wire to the battery terminals because it has those sideposts. I need to do the big 3 and connect my amp, do you just unscrew the normal wiring then put the new stuff under it and screw it back on?

You could do it that way or get a battery terminal made to do the job- www.crutchfield.com/S-BchHamfQ15R/g_713/Battery-Terminals.html
