1999 - dash lights problem

the car was givin to me, only had it for 3 days but i have takin a look.....all the lights come on when i start the car but the ones that dont shut off are the; low washer fuild, abs, theft light, trac-contol light and the change oil light as well and i did the reset the way the book tells with the button, light does nothing but shine.

Fill the washer fluid, if the light goes out, we know the problem is probably not with the instrument cluster or BCM.


Low brake fluid will cause the ABS/Traction control light to come on, as will a bad hub or bad wiring between the hub and BCM.


Try the change oil reset procedure again, sometimes mine takes a couple tries to reset it.

</>thank you.....got the oil light off, it took like ten times,,,,,i put more washer fluid in it and it went off....i dont think i out enough in it at 1st but that light went off as well ....... any ideas on the security light stayin on? Edited by: oldsMYride

Search this forum for "passlock". The security light problem is very common.

if u do what iflow said an u still have problems cause im certain that what he said will fix it. but the cheap way to shut them of is disconnect the battery for a few minutes then hook back up if u have presets those will be reset but should fix your problem.
