Default 2002 Alero Wont Start

Hey Guys,

I see there are a few other posts on here about aleros not starting but my problem is a little bit different.

I have 2002 Alero that has been starting rough for the last 3 days. this morning it would not start at all. When I turn the key it cranks and seems like it fires a little but not enough to start. There is no security light so its not that i Dont think. Do you know what kind of pressure the fuel system should have? 40-60psi maybe?

thanks again guys!

Yes, the fuel pressure should be very close to 55psi.
Which engine do you have?

After a no-start, pull a few of the spark plugs. If they are wet, you have an ignition problem. While you have them out, check the gap. I don't know for that engine what it should be, maybe someone else will post that.
The plug tips should be liight to darkish gray, with no buildup, and certainly not black.
When the engine does start, does it run normally?
