Okay I've read quite a few posts on this issue and I've got a real quick question. I've got a friend with a 99 Alero 3.4L and the transmission is acting up pretty badly. It only revs to about 3K and beyond that the car will loose all power (transmission slipping) and the shifting is really harsh. We've changed the fluid which was old but in good conditionk and the only code was a P0300 which was fixed with a simple tune-up.

Fuel pressure is normal and shows good across the board even while the car is acting up. Also there is some odd sucking noises from the tranny under acceleration and everything else is fine. Basically what I'm asking is where is the pass-through connector that's mentioned in the TSB located? I'm going to replace the IAT for him anyway but I would like to take a look at this phantom connector before I sugest more invasive tranny tests/replacement.

Thanks!
Chris

YOU PROBABLY WONT BELIEVE ME BUT I PROMISE THIS HAS WORKED FOR ME AT LEAST 6 TIMES WITH MY CARS AND SOME FRIENDS. CASE 1 - 1993 3500 CHEVROLET 4 DOOR HUGE TRUCK, TRANSMISSION NOT SHIFTING BEFORE AND AFTER TRANSMISSION SERVICE ( FLUID AND FILTER ). CASE 2 - 1999 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE WITH 99K MILES TRANSMISSION SLIPPING. CASE 3 - 1997 DODGE AVENGER TRANSMISSION SLIPPING SOMETIMES BETWEEN SHIFTS. CASE 4 - MY PERSONAL 1994 FORD F150 SLOW SHIFTING INTO LAST GEAR. I HAVE MORE BUT HERE IS THE MIRACLE JUICE, ITS CALLED MOTOR PURR ITS IN A GLASS CONTAINER AND THE LIQUID IS RED, CHANGED THE FLUID AND FILTER IN EACH CASE AND THE RESULTS WERE; 3500 TRUCK IS STILL PULLING A 25 FOOT CAMPER WITH NO MAJOR WORK,THE GRAND CHEROKEE WAS TOLD BY DEALERSHIP $1500 FOR TRANSMISSION AND WAS TRADED AT 199K WITH NO MAJOR WORK, THE DODGE AVENGER WAS SOLD TO A SINGLE LADY WITH 3 KIDS AND AFTER 8 MONTHS SHE STILL HAS DONE NOTHING TO THE TRANSMISSION, MY FORD TRUCK WAS SOLD AFTER 234K MILES AND NEW OWNER GRINS EVERY TIME I SEE HIM, TRY IT, IT COST LESS THAN $20, BE SURE TO CHANGE FILTER NO MATTER IF YOU JUST CHANGED IT. IT MIGHT SAVE YOU A TRANSMISSION JOB.
