Battery light won’t go off

Default Battery light won’t go off

i got a 2003 Oldsmobile alero. It started an ran fine before the starter went out. I put a new starter on it. Drive it a few miles and stoped. Went to start it and nothing. I could smell the solenoid fried on the stater. Replaced with another new starter. Managed to get it home after getting a battery light and loosing power. I now have a new battery and alternator. I still have a battery light and can’t make it far after taking jumper cables off. I checked and cleaned the ground from engine to battery to frame. Still same issue. I could really use some advise before I go nuts with the car.

Sounds as though you may have a direct short which is draining the battery? Start by checking batt cables and wiring.
