My cruise on/off button became contrary, so now I leave it "on" all the time, but a new problem is that when I have it "set" and driving down the road, it will kick off and then I can't get it to reset until I've restarted the car. Sometimes, as soon as it kicks off, (and I can hear a click when this happens), 3 lights come on in the dash--one of them is the "service vehicle soon", and the other 2 have to do with the brakes or traction--it's always the same 3 lights. Any thoughts?

It stays on all the time and we have ran it like that for years now without problem. Much cheaper than the dealership fixing/replacing the switch.

Default $500 Bear (Cruise switch fix)

Some guys are worried how things 'look'. I myself don't always care.
This fix has lasted for 20 years!
The dealer wanted $500 or something. NOT!
We use a little girls hair elastic; this one happens to have a pink bear on it. When you stand the bear up (very easily done) it applies just the right amount of pressure to keep the switch 'on'. When you push the bear over, the switch turns off. We call it the $500 bear.
I will shoot a picture of it the next time in the car.
It has lasted for 20 years. That must say something.
