I am so glad I found this forum! I was driving to teach my spin class the other day and the gas guage began going from full to empty. Now it does it everyday. I have a 1999 Alero and the the dealer wants tons of money to "fix" this. Is this something I can do myself, I am fairly mechanically oriented.

Is this a mechanical issue or an electrical issue? Has anyone cured this problem before? Any help would be appreciated!
