Default Speedometer and fuel guage stuck full on.

Did intake manifold gaskets today and now my guages are maxed out. Any quick fix? Pull the guage cluster apart? Get a junkyard one? If get a junkyard one is there reprogramming involved? I tried the search but it seems the site isn't letting me see all the post in the alero forums. Only the stickys. Sorry

The clusters are plug and play, no programming needed, so a junkyard one would work. I'm wondering why they are all maxed now, since the work you did shouldn't have any effect on the cluster. Have you tried pulling the battery for a while to reset everything?
I assume you had it disconnected to change the gaskets, but it is a quick and free troubleshooting step.
